You’re busy. Your patients are busy. There’s a good chance, they’ll forget about their appointment. A postcard, a phone call, an e-mail or even a text message, can help keep them on schedule. And keep your schedule intact.
Make a call.
A phone call a day or two before the appointment is a helpful reminder patients often need. And really appreciate. |
Send a postcard.
About a week before the appointment, send a card with the date and time, your phone number and a map or directions.
No show? Call and reschedule.
Call and express your concerns — we missed you; is everything ok? Then ask to reschedule. Always call a day before the appointment to remind them. |
Think tomorrow, book today.
Want to see a patient in six weeks? In a year? In every case, book the appointment now. Remind them with an e-mail or postcard later.
Communication helps eliminate broken appointments and keeps a schedule full — and a practice prosperous.
Next week — surgery at what price?
